Organic Science Fiction
So what exactly is Organic Science Fiction? That’s a good question…
Organic Science Fiction (OSF) is a new form of science fiction or science fantasy without spaceships, lasers and where it doesn’t necessarily occur in the future. Of course, the concept of the future is a relative thing, so there’s no reason there can’t be spaceships or lasers from other planets, but for the most part, this is a form of Sci-Fi where the science is organic, or in this book, botanical and geological.
I would love to know what you can come up with in this new genre that I’ve created. So here I set out a challenge for you to do just that! I’m not suggesting you steal any of my ideas. Far from it. There are infinite possibilities in this genre that others have been experimenting with for years. I’m just not sure that they’ve called it Organic Science Fiction before. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong! Controversy is a wonderful thing!
